This update focuses on some stability fixes for recent issues found related to API changes and improvements in latest X-Plane betas. Improved TCAS/Traffic and wake turbulence data should provide a better experience all around especially with traffic add-ons.

Active Sky XP (ASXP) brings the popular award-winning Active Sky weather engine to the X-Plane platform for the first time. Using a hybrid weather depiction interface through X-Plane 11’s weather API, a realistic, high-performance and high-fidelity weather experience is realised. I have Active Sky XP, but looks like that the development stopped, because I have a long time, without recent releases (the last was in 2020), and I still have the same cloud generator. HiFi said that will replace the X-Plane Weather generator was expected to Q4 2019. I bought Active Sky. Start Active Sky XP, Click on WX-Control, make sure it is set to LIVE Weather Mode is ACTIVE, start X-Plane, New flight. Click on Weather/customize,and select From custom METAR,then click on Load new METAR, it should open in your X-Plane folder, Select METAR.rwx and click open. (It may still show 'Clear Weather' in the weather screen, ignore. I use Active Sky XP with SkyMaxx 4. I am not sure if the clouds are technically volumetric or not but they are certainly perceived that way, when flying through them. I must add that the main reason I use Skymaxx with Active Sky is that this combination gives the best performance (FPS and smoothness) on my average-spec set up.
